Town Council provides update - 17th of Melting

Early this morning the town crier posted a notice from the Council letting all townfolk know the status of the recent fence building efforts as well as the results from the journeey Seraph and Jellen undertook into the Whispering Woods.

Fence:
The fence project is proceeding well. Nice weather yesterday has provided good working conditions and many more posts have gone in the ground. Already some sections of the fence are being completed along the northern most section. If the weather continues, perhaps in another 8 to 10 days, the entire fence may be completed. Local donations from towns folk to the Fence project have helped offset the estimated budget shortfall, but the town still estimates they will be about 350 GP short by the end of the project's completion. More efforts are being made to delay payments and offset spending to make sure the project can be completed. Possible services to be cut would be the children's theatre and post poning repairs to several bridges and docks in the town.

Mission to Whispering Woods:
The Regulators Seraph and Jellen reported in a conversation with a local Fey that no sign of Pyril has been found in recent days. The Fey directed the Regulators to seek out another person in the forest with potentially more knowledge of what's been happening. The Council has spent the evening reviewing the details provided by Seraph and Jellen. In the end, it has decided to provide Pyril several more days before sending the Regulators to the Woods to seek more information. At this point, if no word is forthcoming then the Regulators will be sent out on the 20th. The contributions the Regulators have made on the fence project so have are quite considerable and the Town Council would like to see the great progress continue for a couple more days yet.

I am impressed by Caurus' generosity so much that I have decided to donate the rest of the funds needed, 124 gold and 5 silver.

If anyone needs me, I'll be spending the remaing funds I have creating scrolls in my humble abode.
