4th of Eleasis - A day of Mixed Emotions

The Dwarven clan residing in the Greypeak mountains south of the town of Grey's Deep, said goodbye today to 2 of their own. The Regulators were able to retrieve 2 missing dwarven prospectors yesterdya, but today they returned with the remains of the other 2 missing Dwarves.

Apparently these Dwarves fell victim to a nest of Dire Rats and several Chokers. Funeral services will be held tomorrow. The families involved offered their thanks to the Regulators for returning their loved ones.

In a point of good news, during their search for the missing prospectors, the Regulators uncovered an apparent underground magical forge. A large squad of Dwarves is planning on heading back down tomorrow morning to build fortifications around the forge to defend it from interlopers. The forge should allow the Dwarves to extract more from the minerals of these mountains than they could before.

As a reward, each Regulator was given 2 ingots of the most precious minerals the Dwarves have been able to find in the mountains. This is a great honor and one not given lightly. Also, the Dwarves have offered to craft either Masterwork Armor, Masterwork Weapons or Masterwork Equipment from these materials for them at no cost.

The crafting process will take some time, but the Regulators are welcome to stay in the meantime if they wish. No doubt, the discovery of the forge has re-ignited interest in searching the tunnels below even more throughly for other hidden treasures.

:::Seraph addresses Meriti Goblinender, leader of the Dwarves:::

Good master dwarf Goblinender. Although I am not devoted to the Dwarven god Moradin, I very familiar with his teachings. I would be honored to assist or even lead the funeral services for your two fallen comrades. I am certain that Vig and the other Regulators would be happy to assist with any of the funeral prepartions or needs that your people have during this time of mourning.

Please advise us where needed.

May your hammer fall true upon your enemies and your anvil.

Good smith Vig, I thank you for your assistance. I suppose I should have both pieces of equipment, the Dastana's and the Chainshirt crafted but since we're under a time crunch, perhaps I should focus on one item. I think the chainshirt would be appropriate for me at this time. Maybe one of the dwarves will assist you in creation of the armor, if you don't mind. That way I may have more time to create some healing scrolls.

Vig, did you hear that Jode gave his sword a name? Very fitting for him I think. I kind of like that idea. Since I'm helping with the emblem on the armor, and my armor will be somewhat unique, maybe we could give my armor a name. The emblem will be in reference to Lathander of course, therefore I think it should be called, “Armor of Sun and Faith”.

:::Turning to Meriti:::

Dwarf-friend, do you think one of your dwarves could assist Vig Killug with the creation of my Mithril armor? Like Jode, I thought it proper to name my armor especially since it will have a symbol of my god, Lathander on it. Also, if there is a remaining forge, do you think a pair of Mithril dastana’s could be constructed? I think dwarvencraft is the only way to go, don’t you?

On a more somber note, how go the funeral arrangements? My offer still stands of course and likewise, I’m sure the rest of the Regulators would be able to assist.
