1st of Flamerule (Summertide) - Off to See Birchnor
The Regulators who aren't in training (Brannic, Caurus, Jellen and Seraph) gathered their belongings and headed back to the woods to see Birchnor.
Having been there several times now and knowing the route, they were able to make it there before sunset. Ursus, the Satyr, was waiting for the group not far from where the party last spoke with Birchnor.
"Birchnor is currently entertaining guests this evening and will not be able to meet with you today. If you'll follow me this way please." as Ursus motions the party off the path to an open spot in the forest. "You may rest here for the evening. You will be granted an audience with Birchnor in the morning."
He looks to see if anyone in the group has any questions before leaving.

Ursus, what kind guests are Birchnor entertaining tonight?
Ursus turns to speak to Seraph.
"I'm afraid that would be rude of me to say. Just as we do not tell others we have spoken with you, we do not discuss who else seeks an audience with Birchnor."
He then turns back towards the rest of the group.
"Is there anything else I can do for you gentlemen?"
Of course, Ursus, we will respect Birchnor's privacy. We did not mean to offend.
We will be waiting until your return in the morning.
Ursus, bows to the party and silently slips back into the woods.
The group is left in the dark silence of the wind breezing through the leaves of the trees.
::: Jellen turns to the party and speaks in an eloquent and soft voice :::
"As I previously stated back in town, I will speak to again before we meet up with Birchnor...."
My fellow friends. These material possessions are getting the best of your thinking. If you only knew that making an oath of poverty releases you from the burdens of these insequential material possessions. These material possessions are what drive much of the evil in this world. If you agree now to relinquish yourselves from these material possessions right now, drop all of your items of wealth to the ground. I will help you in this transition. The morning lord Lathandar will help bring a new day of renewal to you by taking this oath.

::: looks to Caurus, Seraph, Brannic for a response::::
::: Jellen creeps up close to Caurus who is now lying down... whispers quietly in his ear:::
"Be not afraid of leaving these material possessions behind Caurus, if you want I can take your backpack and bury it somewhere unbeknownst to you so as to make the transition easier. Just say the word and I can help you with this oath of poverty."

My son, your pursuits are noble and for that I am proud. Remember, a vow of poverty has many components to it. One of the most notable, in my humble opinion, is that vow to help others that are less fortunate.
Believe me, I have considered the vow you have taken, but realize it is not for me. The arcane pursuit I have taken forces me to acquire material items.
Lathandar has chosen you, Jellan, to take on this great endeavor. You are a shining example to all of us from Grey's Deep, an example of self sacrifice to benefit others, of devotion to the Morning Lord. Indeed, I am honored to have you as a friend.
