Townsfolk Greet the Regulators - 3rd of Melting

Upon their return back from the Mountains many of the townsfolk greeted the Regulators in the Town Square. Those in the town square were eager to hear about what they found up in the caves in the mountains and were shocked when told.

The woodsmen were very grateful for the timely assistance from the Regulators. They offered to lend their expertise with woodworking to help up with repairs and such around their family's houses (help with fencing, wall repairs, etc.) as a form of payment.

Meanwhile, during the past week, the townsfolk have reported strange sounds coming from the whispering woods. Hunters reported animals were more skittish than normal and were seen fleeing Eastward through the woods. They also reported strange shoulds like metal ringing has echoed through the woods in the late evening.

The mayor has asked the Regulators if they could further investigate what is happening in the Whispering Wood. Perhaps the strange sounds are related to the attack on the Woodsmen.

Festival of Trees - 1st of Melting

To celebrate the retreat of Winter and to restock the depleted local forests, Pyril, the local Elvish Druid, organizes an annual celebration whereby the townsfolk assist in the planting of new saplings along the Whispering Wood.

Most of the townsfolk participate in this event. It serves as a fun social event whereby neighbors who haven't seen each other much over the winter months get a chance to get together and share some new stories.

This year's Festival however, wasn't as pleasant as those in the past. During the celebration, a gravely injured local woodsman stumbled out of the nearby forest, startling the townsfolk.

The Regulators quickly healed the man and set off to investigate what happened. Over the course of the next two days, they discovered a plan by a Hobgoblin apparently named Zagmet to attack the woodsmen with trained wolves. Zagmet also set up several poisoned traps in the nearby woods to injure animals and hunters alike. The Regulators were able to stop Zagmet, but wonder who set the Hobgoblin up to this grave task.
